Heart Smart Grilling Marinade

1/2 Cup brown Sugar
6 tablespoons Olive Oil
4 tablespoons Tarragon Vinegar
3 medium garlic cloves crushed
3 tablespoons Country Mustard
4 tablespoons lemon juice
1 1/2 teaspoon salt (opptional)
Mix ingrieniants well.  Place in conainer for marinating.  Add meat, poultry or fish.  cover all sides and soak for at least 15 minutes.  Longer for more intense flavor. 
This marinade is excellent prepared with chicken and vegetable kabobs!

Floral Waters

The Maine Accent Floral Waters are made the old fashioned way,without preservatives and mixed by hand.  Floral waters are less heavily scented than colognes.  Try them as a body splash or a fresh and natural after shave.  They can also be poured into a bath to remind you of summer days gone by.  We recommend you store Floral water in a dark cupboard or for an extra refreshing treat, on a hot summer day, leave them to cool in the refrigerator.  Floral waters can be used in recipes from hand lotions to cookies.

Herbed Cream Cheese Spread

6 ounces Cream Cheese

1 teaspoon Hot pepper Garlic Vinegar

4 teaspoons milk

1 tablespoon "The Blend"

Combine in small bowl.  Mix well.  Cover tightly and let sit in refrigerator for a few hours.  This is great as a dip or on canapes. 

Easy Mustard sauces for the busy cook~

Nasturtium Sauce- great with chicken, prime rib or tempura vegetables-
combine equal parts sour cream and nasturtium mustard.

Creamy Dijon Sauce-
2 tablespoons Butter
2 tablespoons chive Blossom Vinegar
2 tablespoons Green Peppercorn mustard
1/2 cup heavy cream
Melt butter.  Add vinegar, stir in mustard, then heavy cream.  Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Makes enough for 4 grilled chicken breasts

Country- A course grain yellow mustard with the sweetness of honey and a hint of crushed red pepper.  Great as a dip for homemade pretzels or on the great American hot dog.

Icing
Mix 2 cups confectioners sugar,  1 teaspoon vanilla or rose water and 2-3 tablespoons of evaporated milk.
Rose Water Cookies

1 Cup Butter

1 Cup Sugar

1 Egg

2 3/4 Cups Flour

1/8 teaspoon salt

4 teaspoon Rose Water

Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Cream butter and sugar.  Add egg and mix.  Sift flour and salt together.  Mix into creamed mixture.  Add Rose water.  Devide dough in half.  Roll dough 1/8 inch thick on floured board.  Cut into desired shapes.  (We like hearts)  Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 6-8 minutes.  Glaze with icing when cool.
